This week I am going to plug my group because it’s awesome. The group that I’m talking about is the Gratitude group on Facebook. I will make sure to drop the link at the bottom. One of the reasons I started it and I spoke of this a little while ago was that I really felt like we are so inundated with negative news or our social media feeds that we are so engulfed in all this negativity right now so we have to find a way to balance it. So, I came up with this thing and I thought, “Well, what do I do to really help me realize that the world isn’t as bad as it seems?” I came up with the thing that I do, which is I try to express gratitude at least daily, five times in the morning and five times in the evening. So, when I was doing it, it was really important for me to try to give people a sense of the reality of how good and how positive it is for us to be grateful and have gratitude in our lives.
For me, I’ve learned that gratitude is one of, if not one of the most important things that help us to connect us to our inner selves and our peace. You acknowledge that you have great friends, you have a great family, you have a blossoming career, you have a brain that learns, you have social encounters that are empowering and give you opportunity to expand yourself and to new networks. When you are able to do that, what you’re doing is countering all those things that feel impossible or beating down your spirit. Gratitude is this high level of connection with the world, as well as your inner self. It allows for your soul to be at peace. I hope that you all will come and join our group. We have different themes related to the foundation of a better self, which is gratitude, affirmations, self-love, and inspiration. We have some good times too, on our Fridays, we do music. We really try to remember that the purpose of this is for us to have peace in our souls and gratitude in our lives and to be our happiest selves.
