Donell is a Licensed Professional Counselor with years of experience in servicing people from various walks of life. He has worked with those who have struggled with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, psychotic-related disorders, and trauma-related issues. He has worked in a variety of clinical settings which encompasses a psychiatric hospital, community behavioral health outpatient program, In-Home Clinical services, and residential treatment programs. Donell is a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist, has received his certificate of completion in Suicide Prevention, Assessment, Intervention, and Recovery, and has recently completed his certification training as a Sex Offender Treatment Provider. In addition, Donell has received specialized training in CBT and PTSD from the Beck Institute and is currently working on completing his certification training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
Donell has experience in providing individual, group, and family/couples therapy. He facilitates a 12-week Anger Management group for adolescent males and has facilitated a 10-week Illness Management and Recovery group. He works diligently to provide tools essential to those that he serves to overcome challenges that impede their ability to become the best version of themselves. His goal is to empower, enrich and educate each consumer in order for them to live a fulfilling and purposeful life.
Donell received a BA degree in Psychology from Bloomfield College and a Masters of Arts in Counseling from the Alliance Graduate School of Counseling in New York, NY. He is also a member of the American Alliance of Christian Counseling (AACC), the New Jersey Association of Counseling (NJAC), and SAVE (Suicide Awareness Voices of Education) of Burlington County.
